How to find the perfect Hair Makeup Look for your wedding?

Dear Brides,

Are you currently trying to search and piece together the perfect hair-makeup look for your big day? Are you a bit overwhelmed by the millions of pinterest pins and Instagram makeup selfies? Well, take a deep breath and let us help you walk through the process.

First of all, congratulations on your engagement. As you start to plan the perfect look for the perfect day, the first step is to decide on a theme or vision. For example, do you love all things romantic or are you a vintage kind of girl. From Rustic to Chic, I am sure you already have a slight idea of what is a must have at your wedding and what you absolutely do not want at your wedding. That is where I would start for your personal look. After all, you would not want to walk in with an elaborate ballgown if you are getting married on the beach.

Here are some tips on how to choose a look based on your theme:

Vintage / Gatsby: For a 20's themed event, incorporate old Hollywood Curls with red lipstick into your look. It is never an outdated look.

Beach Theme: If you are getting married by the water, think less is more. Light pink blush, glossy lips & light brown eye shadow will create a soft and subtle look that will leave you wanting more.

Black Tie Optional: If you are getting married at a Museum, Mansion, Historic Building or anywhere that demands elegance, a chic chignon with nude lips will be your best friend.

Rustic Wedding: If you are thinking of a rustic wedding, at a barn or country side, play down the look. Incorporate a braid or flowers into your hair, and put on some matte lipstick.

And remember, whatever look you decide to go with, schedule a trial first with a professional hair stylist & makeup artist that UNDERSTANDS YOU and can meet your needs/desires/expectations. Look for a company that has a variety of artists that can accommodate different looks and are trained in the latest trends. Makeup artist and hair stylists should continue their education to keep their skills sets sharp & recent. When scheduling a trial, send inspiration photos ahead of time to give an idea of the look you want. Do not send too many inspiration pictures, especially if the pictures are completely different. That will create confusion. Keep the communication line clear & be decisive once you narrow down the look.

I hope you can find the perfect look based on our tips. Good Luck.

Love,
-TCBeauty
